Covid Vaccine Update – 8 April

Castleford Civic Centre Appointment:

We have contacted all patients who are due their 2nd Pzifer vaccine, these are patients who had their 1st vaccine on or before 21 January. A clinic is been held on 9 April. If you have not been contacted or know of family member who has not been contacted please contact the surgery. Patients who are due their 2nd dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine, we are in the process of contacting. We have appointments available on 13 April. Again if we have not been contacted or know of a family member who has not been contacted please contact the surgery.

Kings Medical Centre – Normanton Appointments:Patients due their 2nd Pzifer vaccine have been contacted and booked in. Further Clinics for patients due 2nd dose of vaccines will be added shortly. Patients will be contacted in due course. If you have not been contacted or know of a family member please contact the surgery.

Patients aged 50 and over and patients who fall under cohort 6 (16-64 with an underlying health condition) have been contacted. We are hoping once we have confirmation of availability of vaccines we can start contacting patients in cohort 10 (aged 40-49) by age year.

Due to issues out of our hands there will be a slow down of delivery of vaccines throughout April. Patients due their 2nd vaccine will receive the vaccine, so please await for the surgery to contact you. There will be a delay in offering any further 1st dose of the vaccine to patients.
